I was driving back from CVS tonight with a friend when all of a sudden, it started pouring, hard. Fog started rolling in, the droplets began falling on the dashboard with a loud thud, and I felt a little bummed out that the warmer weather we’d been enjoying had screeched to a halt. But after a while, the rain didn’t seem so bad. The rhythmic pitter-patter became comforting and soothing, and I soon felt very relaxed. The following songs portray different artists’ feelings toward the rain, so give these a listen and treat yourself to a cup of hot chocolate to stay warm.
“Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head” – B.J. Thomas
“Save It For a Rainy Day” – The Jayhawks
“Rainy Days and Mondays” – The Carpenters
“I Can’t Stand The Rain” – Seal (cover of Ann Peebles’s song)
“Rain” – The Beatles
